Above one of my favourite places, mountain Pilatus near Luzern, approaching the top.

This side is still under development, I am too busy with music and some other things.

See my activities on hurdy gurdy as Doede de Draaier.

Hurdy gurdy players can find here my article on tuning the tangents of a hurdy gurdy.

Here I am, playing symfonie (hurdy gurdy) (left under) and tenor curtal (right) in my group for renaissance and medieval music, de Speellieden van Gelre. In that group my main instrument for renaissance music is bass curtal. We all play several instruments, I like very much to play renaissance traverso.

You can hear and see me playing a hurdy gurdy, made by Wolfgang Weichselbaumer , a medieval piece: Istanpitta Ghaetta on Youtube. The instrument is tuned exactly according to the system adviced in a hurdy gurdy 's tangent positions

Together with de Speellieden van Gelre you can also hear me play hurdy gurdy, a symfonia made by Chris Allen and Sabina Kormylo , in a Dutch medieval Christmas song
Het was een Maget Uutverkoren ,  and a  Cantigas de Santa Maria (nr 9)  . More recordings of our group (most live recordings) can be found on our website.
